Hosam Khalaf’s Mother Passes Away While he is Detained in Prison

On Tuesday May 14, 2019, Hosam Khalaf’s mother passed away. Hosam had not seen his mother in 680 days since he was detained. This is a difficult time for him and the family.

Ola al-Qaradawi and Hosam Khalaf have been detained since July 30, 2017. No evidence has ever been presented before the courts against either.  In fact, Ola and Hosam have never been charged.

Hosam has never been allowed to a single prison visit. The family calls on the prosecution’s office to allow Hosam to see family members to grieve with them. The family also calls for justice in reuniting Ola and Hosam with their children, grandchildren and loved ones.
